Small Sided Games

Small Sided Games (SSG) are played in the Macarthur region from Under 6 to Under 11 age-groups. These are mixed teams of boys and girls.

Small sided games have a different number of players, pitch size, rules, etc.. which change as a child moves through the age groups.

The aim of SSGs are to enhance the skills of young players before they have to play on full sized pitches.

These games are all played on Saturdays, unless catching up for wet weather, etc.

As these are not strictly competition games, the season ends in a Gala Day, where all teams for an age-group play at the one ground. How these Days are organised can be different depending on the age-group

Junior Games

These are for age groups Under 12- Under 17, and are competition games.

Boys and Girls can no longer play in mixed teams , from under 12 teams are split based on gender.

these games are generally played on Saturdays, unless catching up for wet weather, etc.

Senior Games

Senior Games are for adults of all ages:

  • M League
  • All Age
  • All Age Ladies
  • Over 35s Men
  • Over 45’s Men

Games are generally played on Sundays, unless catching up for wet weather etc.

Pre-Season

Each year, we try to organise a couple of pre-season games.
We usually play against Camden Falcons, and Minto Stingers at their home grounds, as our grounds are still occupied by cricket.

With the tight deadline between teams being confirmed and these games, many teams have had minimal time to train together and can feel a little concerned about this.

Please remember, these are not competition games, but are a chance for players to get back into the game after a long break. It is a great way for teams with new members to get to play together before competition starts. Please make the most of this opportunity.

Watch our home page for dates once details are confirmed.

If you can’t play a game

If you (or your child) is unable to play a particular game for any reason, please advise your Manager ASAP.

Once known, your Manager may be able to borrow a player from another team (if needed), or forfeit if total player numbers are an issue for the game. It is important that forfeits are advised ASAP as the club is fined when it comes with less than 24 hours notice
